Today we are seeing more and more of the benefits of engaging some form of creativity for the sense of well and being and for mental health benefits in main stream. We know there is something beneficial to us in being creative that we tend to deny ourselves. Many of my conversations with women over the years have all pointed to the years of conditioning in the school system and the split between the academic and the arts as being the ground of how they have been conditioned to ‘not be able’ to create art. I see this as another purposeful cut from our root of connectedness to the source of all creativity, the creative power - the Feminine, Shakti, the Great Mother.
